You’re looking for the right media training provider in Scotland for your team.
At Pink Elephant Communications, we’ve put people through their paces on camera since 1989.
It’s all with one aim: to build your confidence in dealing with journalists.
And it comes from our experience of being the media.
Expert tutors from the likes of the BBC, STV and Netflix.
So what can you expect from a media training session with Pink Elephant?
We’ve delivered media training in 26 countries on four continents.
A share of that work continues to come from our home country.
We trained Scotland’s athletes ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
We’ve prepped Scottish Government ministers and the country’s business leaders.
And we’ll share everything we know to help you better represent your organisation.
It boils down to two simple things.
Technique and practice.
We’ll begin with the technique.
Answering questions is a skill that anyone can learn.
Some people become very good at it.
All too often, though, we see politicians demonstrating the wrong way to do it.
So let’s get away from that.
We’ll show you how to deal with a journalist’s questions directly.
And to give an answer which is clear, positive, committed, and to the point.
Then, it’s on to the practice.
We’ll prepare some realistic scenarios in advance of the session.
The journalist has asked you for a radio interview.
You’ve got 10 minutes to prepare.
Can you get your key messages across in the face of hostile questions?
We’ll record these interviews and then listen to them back.
We’ll analyse what we like and what we’d do differently.
Then, it’s onto television.
We’ll talk about body language, eye contact, and using your voice.
Can you still get your point over when there’s a camera between you and the journalist?
Once again, we’ll record these and watch them back.
You’ll leave having had the experience of being put under pressure by real journalists.
And with the confidence that you came out of it having said what you planned to.
If you believe this is what your team needs, email us.
We’ll work out when, where, and how to run the session.
We’ll prepare some pitch-perfect media scenarios to throw at the group.
And we’ll see what happens when the camera starts rolling.
